Launched in 2009 at the Vernon Public Art Gallery, the Okanagan Print Triennial will once again take place in the spring of 2021 at the Vernon Public Art Gallery. The brainchild of Kelowna-based printmaker Briar Craig, and supported by the Kelowna Art Gallery, the University of British Columbia, and Vernon Public Art Gallery, this exhibition is an open, juried show dedicated to showcasing the creative forays made with printmaking in Canada and beyond. The winner of each Triennial is given a solo show at the gallery not hosting the show the third year following. The curators look forward to installing and unveiling the works of printmakers of all stripes, and then to engaging with our local public’s in discussion and exchange about this fascinating aspect of contemporary art practice.
Closing date for submissions for OPT 2021, will be October 2, 2020.
